Why All Businesses Need It.
The Obvious Bit.
To run a successful business you need to engage and inform your current and potential customers. You have to communicate in ways that are meaningful for them. And ultimately, you need to convince them to part with their hard-earned cash for your YOUR product or service!
Otherwise, harsh but true, they're going to buy from your competition. (Ouch).
The Not So Obvious Bit.
Achieving all the above takes time, effort, research, comprehensive marketing knowledge and experience, and yep, persuasive and strategic writing. That's where a professional comes in.
So, Why Me?
I can provide the words you need for any*short or long-form writing. I can edit/re-write existing pieces or create something unique for you from the very beginning.
*Ok, ALMOST anything. If you're after break-up emails, specialised medical or legal writing, hardcore smut, celebrity gossip, detailed technical descriptions and a few other niche categories, you might do better hiring a specialist...
I can make your brand sound fun, serious, honest, quirky, trustworthy, dynamic, sophisticated (or any imaginable adjective you want!). I always write with SEO in mind (search engine optimisation) to help improve your website's ranking with search engines.
"Bridget at Paisley Chameleon is the bomb! She completely nailed the 'Hipster -Yuccie Labradoodle' segment of my market. I've NEVER sold so many hemp harnesses!

Copywriting Vs Content Writing
(And What the Heck is UX Writing?).
Copywriting is writing that is designed to persuade the reader to take action. For example, sign up for a newsletter, buy a product, clip out a voucher, make a donation.
Content writing is writing that is designed to inform, inspire or entertain. For example, staff bios, a business report, a blog post, a script for an explainer video, an article.
UX (user experience) writing is writing that is designed to ensure the user's experience is as positive and streamlined as possible. It considers people's behaviour when they use apps, websites and other digital applications, and ensure that all of the writing helps people find all the information they need in a simple, logical manner.
Unlike many writers, I do all 3. Check out my portfolio pages for examples.
